On today's show I check in with an old friend and welcome a new one to the Free Association Family.

In the first hour, the ridculously talented, Sussan Deyhim checks  in to give us an update on her latest activities, including upcoming live perfromances. Sussan's voice is singular in it's ability to convey layers of emotion in a complex, multilayered glossalalia. There are very few practitioners of the human voice that can sound the call of the ancients, while summoning the future.  Originally from Iran, Sussan traveled to west and immersed herself in the arts in Paris.  Her colloborations with her partner, composer, Richard Horowitz pushed the boundaries of world music into experimental spaces.

One of her recent accomplishments was adding vocals to the  Argo soundtrack, which won the Golden Globe for best soundtrack.

If you haven't heard Sussan, you have to listen.

In hour number two, the wife of the late, great, Phillip K. Dick, Tessa Dick jumps into the mix. We'll find out more about the life and death of the high priest of high strangeness as well as what Tessa is up to with her own writing, website and radio.

Don't miss this look into the lives of two, fascinating and creative, women.
