There are very few people that epitomize the spirit of activism over the past five decades than poet, musician, actor and activist, John Trudell aka Grafitti Man. Starting with the occupation of Alcatraz by AIM in 1969, to his current passion, the liberation of hemp through his Hempstead Project Heart initiative.
We'll talk with John about why hemp is so important, at this time in American history and how specifically, the first peoples nations can play a key role in the growing and production of hemp, Along the way, we'll no doubt get an overview of where we are as a people along the way via John's perspective of past, present and future.
In the second hour, I'll be joined by Debby Goldsberry. Debby is a pioneer of the medical cannabis industry, with 25 years experience. Debby was also was twice designated High Times Freedom Fighter of the Month and was given NORML’s Paula Sabine Award for Woman in Leadership. Ms. Goldsberry served as HIGH TIMES Freedom Fighter of the Year, 2011-2012. We'll be discussing the legal challenges and hurdles for medicinal marijuana and the future of legal canabis.
