The Importance of the Virginia Ratifying Convention Today --  Considering the federal government's enormous growth over the past two centuries, it is no surprise that today's opponents of Nullification, whether it be at the jury or the state level, might at least be able to treat the Principles of 98 and their modern day patriot sympathizers with the respect that our founders usually merit.

You'd think so, but try speaking to a liberal or a mainstream "conservative" about these principles respectfully in a book, article, or speech, and watch these guardians of respectable opinion on Left and Right leap into action!

What was once one of those most honorable of fundamental principles of American freedom has become an unthinkable heresy.

Tonight we'll explore the fundamental principles of nullification and its use to limit the government to the extent of its explicitly granted powers.
