Beyond The Bricks Pre-Town Hall Discussion

Todays show focuses on the plight of African American males in relation to the education system in America. Our guests will be panelists from the upcoming "Beyond The Bricks" town hall discussion, taking place on Saturday, November 6 at Community College of Philadelphia. Guests include Dr. Doreen Loury from the Black Male Development Symposium (BMDS), Thomas Butler from Project Grad, Yumy Odom from The Frator Heru Institute and others. The BTB National tour includes a viewing of the documentary "Beyond The Bricks by film makers Ouida Washington and Derek Koen followed by break-out session in which particpants are encouraged to brainstorm specific issues and devise practical, immediate action steps.
