On Monday's FOXOLOGY TODAY I will talk with Debby Tucker, Excecutive Director of the National Center on Domestic and Sexual Violence. Each October highlights the work being done across the nation to assist those whose lives have been affected by these issues. We'll get you in the loop on this very important and how you can help in your community.
About my guest:
Debby Tucker has been dedicated to ending violence against women since becoming a volunteer with the first rape crisis center in Texas in 1974. Over the years, she has assisted communities throughout Texas to establish shelters and other services for battered women, initiated battering intervention programs and represented battered women and advocacy agencies before the Texas Legislature. Ms. Tucker has played a significant role in promoting laws and policies to improve the criminal justice and health and human service systems’ responses to domestic violence.
Under Debby Tucker's committed and dedicated leadership, the Texas Council grew to be one of the largest state coalitions in the country with over 50 staff providing training and technical assistance, public education and advocacy.
