This year the Jewish Sukkot (the Feast of Booths) began September 18th and ended a week later. Throughout Israel and in the backyards of synagogues and Jewish homes throughout the world, open-air shelters decked with palm leaves, vines and hanging fruits remind the Jewish People of their exodus from Egypt 3500 years ago. To most of the Church, it's all a quaint tradition but largely irrelevant. Yet to Saint Paul, it was a major theological concept that he used when he taught on our sojourn through this world, the resurrection of the body and life of the world to come. Unless Christians understand this " Jewish root " to thei pilgrimage and resurrection, they cannot fully understand the teachings of Paul in the Christian epistles, or their walk of faith. Tune in; and take notes! Your host: Rev. Rick Anderson, each Thursday at 9:30 PM EST. To call in with a comment or question: 347-324-5759 @ www.blogtalkradio.com/fougcrew
