Call in to speak with the host
Many of us get showers or bathe everyday. If we do not wash the dirt we feel our bodies have accumulated over a 24 hour period there is a perception of uncleanliness by us and possibly others. What makes us want to be clean in the physical more than the spiritual sense? Is it because no matter how hard we try to get cleaned up for God that we always fall short of His glory? There is no bar of soap that can wash away the evilness and rebellion heart of mankind towards a Holy God. Are we to remain in our " dirtiness " or do we want to be washed " clean " by His blood? There are many preachers who teach that you must clean youself up before coming to a Holy and perfect God. If that was so , why would a Savior be needed? Hasn't our God, through the death and resurrection of Jesus , not only given us a bridge to crossover to Himself but also by His one and only sacrifice, made us as clean as Jesus Himself? Why did Our Lord and Savior promise us the Helper, Comforter,Intercessor, Advocate, Teacher and Counselor in the person of The Holy Spirit if we could cleanse ourselves and get rid of our sins? Does God need to clean us up before He can love us? Are we remaining in willful sin or are we listening to the " Spirit Of Truth's " constant reminder of obedience to Our Father God?
