No place on Earth today sparks so much religious emotion, hope, speculation, or  violence than the Jerusalem Temple site. Tonight's discussion deals with the biblical reasons why. Here in Jerusalem, at the crossroads of three faiths: Jewish, Christian and Islam sits the site that once held the ancient world in wonderment: the Temple! Built bysolomon, rebuilt by Zerubbabel, and then refurbished by Herod the Great, its gleaming while edifice beckoned ancient Jews and Gentiles to approach the only place on Earth where God communed with His people through a sacrificial system of innumerable animal victims, as the only way for people to escape the blame and penalty for their sins and recieve forgiveness. Tonight (Thursday Night) we discuss why this was so, as well as to discuss the accouterments and furnishing of that place, their meaning for Jews and Christians, and Scripture's " big picture " for why the Temple was destroyed and then rebuilt into " living stones..... built up as a spiritual house." (1Peter 2:5) Tune in; and take notes! Your host: Rev Rick Anderson , each Thursday at 9:30 PM EST. To call in with a comment or question: (347) 324-5759 at www.blogtalkradio.com/fougcrew.
