The holiest day of the Jewish calender begins this Friday (09/13/13) at sundown: Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, yet few Christians even know what it's about, or why it's even relevant to them. The Church has lost something historically by neglecting to learn about its Jewish roots. Consequently, born-again Christians have nothing to say to Jewish friends or relatives during these ten " Days of Awe " between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur that could help Jews understand the relevance of  Jesus's life and death, and share with them about their Messiah. This Thursday evening's program will deal with certain " talking points '' ; things Christians can say that will help them explain the relevance of New Covenant faith to God's Old Covenant people. But before the " talking points ", we need to be more familiar with our own Bibles, especially the central chapters of the Letter of Hebrews, because these chapters relate extensively to Yom Kippur. Tune in; and take some notes! Your host: Rev. Rick Anderson, each Thursday @ 9:30 EST. To call in with a comment or question; (347) 324-5759 . Listen " LIVE " at www.blogtalkradio.com/fougcrew.
