Sorrow and grief are never easy in our lives . All of us will expereince these emotions and some more than others . Yet God is able to teach us things that He could not teach us at other times , in other circumstances . No two people grieve alike . We should never be critical of how someone hurts . The intensity of pain and the variety of coping skills are different for everyone . A loss does not necessarily need to be a death . Some losses seem to be far worse than death . There are job losses , times where we have to move from a different town , city and even a country . Relational losses that could come from divorces or break-ups , family seperations , loss of dreams and promising futures , loss of health and youth , loss of pets just to name a few . The process of working through the losses in our lives is called grief . Although it can be quite painful and hard work , grief is a necessary part of healing . Unfortunately noone can do it for one another . However we learn more in our valley experiences than on our mountaintops . There are many things our God wants us to know through our grieving periods and most if not all are very good .
