My name is Kwesi Tacuma Grant. I tell people to call me "Grant" for two reasons. The first reason is because I hate when people mispronounce my name, and, it feels very uncomfortable to go around correcting people all of the time. And to be completely honest, people use to tease me as a child about my name, so I got in the habit of introducing myself as "Grant". The second reason is because my father is Jamaican, and his friends would call him "Granty". I think it makes me feel like a piece of my father is with me when I use his name. Being evicted forced me to think about what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. The decision was easy, I wanted to tell my story, and help people just like me. I created this website as a job and mision for myself and to tell people my story. My story is no different from the story of millions of Americans, I just decided to tell it! It takes a certain degree of having lost my fear to talk about my life, being honest about my struggles, to live it in front of you and tell you everything about every thought, emotion, and experince. I decided to share everything with everyone who chose to "Follow my life", and support me in my endeavor (this site). A lot of people say that they "Keep it r
