From My Mama's Kitchen Talk Radio

From My Mama’s Kitchen Talk Radio is based on the book - From My Mama’s Kitchen – “food for the soul, recipes for living” by Johnny Tan. Originally intended as a cookbook to preserve his moms’ recipes, transpires into a motherly love-inspired book about his personal relationships with his adopted mom in Malaysia and with eight other wonderful women whom he refers to as “mom” in the United States. Over the years, his mothers were his “team of counselors”who provided him unconditional motherly-love. They were always available whenever he needed them – to talk, get some advice or just to sound off. This weekly talk show hosted by the author, Johnny Tan, pays tribute and honors his moms and moms everywhere for their timeless loving wisdom, spiritual and inspirational contribution in making a positive difference in the lives of their children and their loved ones. It provides a platform for everyone to share their own experiences of “motherly love” on-air with other listeners. With the support of special guests, Johnny’s vision and mission is to educate, entertain, and inspire everyone the significant role mothers’ play in our daily lives and to bring “motherly love” to center stage. What I have learned from my 9 moms – Respect the past, because it is a classroom for lessons learned. Be prepared for the future, because it is my destiny. Always live in the now, because every moment is a memorable experience. – Johnny Tan. My guest for this week will be Paul Wedding a Best Selling Author, Radio Talk Show Host and Public Speaker. In the spirit of this holiday season, he has a very interesting story to share about his personal encounter with “God” that transformed his life forever, which he shares in his bestselling book “If You Only Knew What You Already Know.” Paul in his own words, was a “con man, thief, cheat, and a liar.” He called home a dumpster in Westminster, California; lived in garages, and was addicted drugs, alcohol, sex, and gambling. On April 19, 2003 at 12:37 pm, his life changed. While standing in the kitchen of his mother’s home, he felt a presence overcome him. This presence had no voice, nor was it a religious conversation taking place. It was GOD. Please call 347.327.9995 to join Paul and I live on the air on Tuesday 12/01/09 from 10-11 am US CST as we discuss– He amazing life’s journey, and his bestselling book “If You Only Knew What You Already Know.”

According to Laura, “I knew from a very young age that I was meant to travel the world, meet my brothers and sisters and share the message of love. Who knew, that the access to fulfilling this destiny would be through losing my hair? It first taught me incredible lessons of understanding and compassion for humanity, and then after 19 long years of wearing wigs I'm finally learning the biggest lesson – the ability to love myself. After all that's what we're here for, right? To love and be loved.
