According to my nine moms, if not at conception then certainly during delivery, moms, in just an instant, realize that their lives have just changed forever. The most important person in their lives is no longer themselves, rather it is their baby. However, with this new responsibility comes a new challenge - the balancing act of motherhood, and one’s self identity and well being. If left unchecked, it can sometimes become so overwhelming that what was once the joyous time of a woman life soon fizzles away into a dreaded routine, which will eventually affect the entire family’s synergy. Suzy Stauffer’s personal triumph in overcoming this experience resulted in her creating an organization called Beyond the Bus Stop. Today, Beyond the Bus Stop, as an organization, through its various local chapters and through its online support, has helped countless women nationwide to overcome these challenges.
