A lot of triathletes have attempted an Ironman, but how many have tried to do two triathlons in one day? Triathletes in Central Florida will have that opportunity on July 28 when two sprint triathlons take place 100 miles apart. The Top Gun Triathlon, which takes place at beautiful Fort De Soto Park in St. Petersburg, has a typical early morning start time. The Twilight Triathlon, which is held in Crystal River, begins at 7:30 p.m. The races usually take place a week apart but due to a quirk in Leap Year scheduling coincide this year. The races have joined forces to encourage athletes to attempt the "Sunrise Sunset Triathlon." Chris Mohling, race director for the Twilight Triathlon, joins us in this episode to discuss this unusual triathlon doubleheader.
