When I Met God...

Writen and Proformed by David Little Eagle

Not what I expected -
a deity dressed in black.
Told that He created the world in six days,
with such loving care, I wondered: What happened?
For now I look upon a devastated Earth - a Sky choking to death on poisons of governmental and corporate ideas of "progress".
God wore black robes, and murdered the daughters of Earth, carrying a sword to slaughter the sons of Sky -
The children were sacrificed when God showed his face - no answer given as to why.
The God of theoretic love became the dog of factual war, and when I met Him, his face was painted red - his cruel hands dripping with blood.
God's introduction brought destruction - and I can't believe, I can't believe, I can't believe! Gospel, good news, bad news, new life, actual death - I can't take it anymore! psychopathic deity, take your Thorazine, go to sleep and leave us alone!
I met what passed for God, and saw insanity. I want to be held in the beauty of the Sacred, and find peace in the balance of Natural Truth.
I met God, and I'm sorry I did - flamboyant sociopath dressed in black robes of excuses - when undressed, He looks like a man - and as ugly as any imagined hell. Go away and don't come back! I wish I had never met this cosmic Jekyll and Hyde. By any name not sweet - Your vicars made yours bitter - a cosmic tyrant in man's own image created:
