Traditions Training Blog Talk Radio kicks off our 2014 summer show, with an action packed dialogue from several of the Traditions Training Instructor family.

On Tuesday June 3 at 7:30 pm, we will discuss in detail, tactical considerations for fires involving the two-story legacy wood frame dwelling. Unfortunately, the fire service has experienced many serious injuries and LODD’s while operating in these types of structures.

Please join Traditions Training Instructors Ricky Riley (Host), Nick Martin, Dan Shaw, Doug Mitchell, Danny Doyle, Roger Steger Jr, Sam Hittle and Larry Schultz as we discuss: risk assessment, command & control, engine company operations, truck company operations and RIT operations when dealing with the frame dwelling.

In advance of the show, we recommend reading the following NIOSH LODD reports, which occurred in this type of structure:
Bridgeport, Conn. Double LODD House Fire
Pittsburgh, PA. Bricelyn St. Triple LODD

Try to identify pertinent issues relating to building construction features, fire behavior concerns in the Type V (wood frame), critical tactical objectives, required resources and sound command and control considerations.
