Firefighters are trained to respond and mitigate emergency incidents quickly, but they receive a lot less training about the patience it takes to make administrative policy changes, including how to purchase equipment and successfully bring a new idea forward. Tonight on the "Tailboard Talk" radio show, Jeff Wallin, Craig Nelson, and Dane Carley will discuss this topic, as well as whether the fire chief should take command of an incident and teaching fire personnel about administrative processes.
