If you are, or were ever, a church-going woman, then there is a high likelihood that you have experienced some form of male chauvinism or sexism in the church. Some churches are not nearly as sexist and chauvinistic as others, but many churches have some degree of it. God is not a chauvinist, He is not a sexist, and he is very fair in his treatment of women. Many of the people who are drawn to the table are women atheists. They initially come to the table to speak with me because their first impression is that the book is trashing the Bible. But that's not the case at all. So when they get to the table and realize that what the book is really doing is defending the Bible, some of them become angry... but it gives me a chance to witness to many atheists that I would not otherwise be able to talk to.
