There is an agreement that will allow Northern Ireland to vote to dissolve the border between the Republic of Ireland which is still a member of the EU, thus allowing Northern Ireland to remain in the EU and become part of the Republic of Ireland and stay in the EU. How it will wind up is anyone's guess.
