This week on our BIG Resurrection Day edition of the show, we welcomed in director/writer/producer Emily Abt whose film, "Toe to Toe" opens in DC today. In addition, my good buddy culture critic Tonya Pendleton of BlackAmericaWeb.com stopped by to discuss her take on the film industry. The show was dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of the cult classic, "The Last Dragon" with us feature music throughout the show from the film's soundtrack. Film critics Brandon Fibbs and Kevin McCarthy also stopped by to help me review this week's film which included "The Last Song," "Why Did I Get Married Too" and "The Clash of the Titans."With show glitches held to a minimum, yesterday's show flowed pretty well and I left with a feeling that the audience was as pleased as I was about the show's quality. As with most situations, your comfort level increases over time and that is clearly where I am with this show.We also announced yesterday and will repeat throughout the month that we will be launching a new day on Monday, May 2. The launch show will be a 90-minute Summer Movie Preview show that will feature several critics dissecting the Top 25 films for '10.LOVE doing theme shows and this one should be fun and informative giving me an opportunity to do what I do best - talk about film!Until next week, see something good at the movies!
