On this very special episode of the BIG show, we remember the life and career of a true Hollywood giant, Ruby Dee, who passed away at the age of 91. Dee was an actress, poet, playwright, screenwriter, journalist, and activist. She was a Grammy, Emmy, Obie, Drama Desk, Screen Actors Guild Award, and Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement Awards winner. Dee was also the recipient of the National Medal of Arts and the Kennedy Center Honors, among scores of others awards and she was married to actor Ossie Davis until his death in 2005. Omar Moore and I will discuss and breakdown Dee's extraordinary and unprecedented almost seven-decade career on this very special edition of Keeping It Reel with FilmGordon.
