Attention, film geeks! You know who you are! Film Geek Central is a new spin on the old review show. Scott Davis and Austin Kennedy have been published in various media outlets. Each of them also comes to the forefront with some knowledge about what it takes to make a great film, without the prejudice that weighs most shows down. More than anything, Film Geek Central is a new podcast, by film geeks and for film geeks.

First up is Steven Soderbergh's massive four hour epic, CHE. Benecio del Toro plays Ernesto "Che" Guevara. Released in two parts, we will be tackling the whole thing as one sprawling epic. People tend to be scared of long films. Is this one worth your time?
Next up is PHOEBE IN WONDERLAND. Elle Fanning (Dakota's little sis) plays Phoebe, an artsy child who is ostracized from her peers due to her strange habits and even stranger behavior. Phoebe is inspired when she tries out for the school play, Alice In Wonderland. The film co-stars Patricia Clarkson, Felicity Huffman and Bill Pullman.
Next, we have a film that's been getting loads of buzz. GOMORRAH is a film that promises to take an unflinching look at the new crime families in Italy.
Some of the best films of 2008 were released on DVD this week as well. We'll be taking a look at MILK, RACHEL GETTING MARRIED, LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, ROLE MODELS, TRANSPORTER 3, CADILLAC RECORDS and HAPPY GO LUCKY. We'll also take a look back at Paul Newman's first film, THE SILVER CHALICE.
See? Told you we'd give you plenty of show. Remember, you can check our show out at BlogTalkRadio live Sunday at 6:00 PM EST. Or you can stream it or download it to your hard drive at a later date. All our old episodes are available there too, so feel free to catch up.
Thanks for listening, film geeks!
