My name is Zoila Millien, and I am a film director. I have been into the art of motion pictures for the past 24 years three months, 15 days, 7 hours, 8 minutes, and 41 seconds. Believe that film is the most powerful medium to not only entertain your audience, but enlighten them as well. With movies you can create a feeling of sadness, joy, guilt, lust, hatred, or even love for the characters. Whether it is a "bad" or "good" movie is not the point, but what was the intention behind the film should be looked for. My inspirations are some of the most influential artists of our time. Directors like Stanley Kubrick, Ron Howard, Baz Lurman, Anne Guy, Nancy Myers, Gary F. Gray, Spike Lee, Denzel Washington, Spike Jonze, Sally Potter, Larry Clark, Ed Norton, Rickey Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Edgar Wright, Peter Jackson, Gerorge Lucas, Oliver Stone, Luc Besson, Neil La Bute, Mc G, Chris Rock, Christina Clark, Patty Jenkins, Ben Stiller, Francis Ford Copolla, Ice Cube, The Huges Brothers, The Wachowski Brothers, Steven Spielberg, Marc Forester, Chris Coloumbus, Edward Zwick, David Fincher, Hype Williams, Johnathan Dayton, Valerie Ferris, Cameron Crowe, James Cameron, and many others help me better mold my craft and find my own creative style. Bladerunner, Solent Green, Friend Green Tomatoes, Killer Tomatoes, The Blob, Carnival of Souls, Yellow, Hard Candy, ET, AI, Borat, KIDS, Se7en, Rushmore, Lost in Translation, Dangerous Liasion all have made an impact on me.
As I live and breathe film will forever be in my blood.
