Caregiver Benefits are the New Norm with "HomeThrive" CEO & Founder, Dave Jacobs
in Caregiving
Dave Jacobs, a seasoned healthcare leader, combined his vast knowledge of geriatric care and passionate advocacy for senior in-home care to co-found Homethrive, a family caregiving solution that combines expert live assistance and navigation with 24/7 digital resources to help caregivers thrive at work and at home.
His expertise stems from fifteen years as a senior executive at Medline Industries, a $25 billion healthcare products company. There, he developed a firsthand appreciation for the importance of seniors maintaining independence at home and the many challenges faced by them and their family caregivers. Presently, Dave serves on the Board of Directors of a $500 million privately held consumer products company.
With 72% of employees having some caregiving responsibilities, companies are starting to recognize that offering a caregiver support benefit is a must-have for supporting employee wellbeing, productivity, and retention. And the rapidly aging population in the U.S. also combined with many people staying in the workforce longer means that more and more individuals will find themselves caring for a parent, partner, or friend, while also navigating work, life, and even their own health situations. Tune in for our conversation with Dave Jacobs, co-CEO and co-founder of Homethrive, on the complexities of modern caregiving and why it’s time for employers in the U.S. to offer inclusive caregiving benefits.

Professional Development can be an expensive investment for many organisations. Even though millions are spent every year on training and development, leaders often feel frustrated because even with the best training, often the return on the investment for professional development is not as great as anticipated. This is because staff will learn new skills in the training and professional development but their behaviour does not change leaving a large gap between knowing what they should be doing and actually doing it.
The concept of self-image on performance has been studied for decades. It Is one of the most valuable mindset upgrades that any leader can implement. Basically, self-image is about creating the image of success – or an image that aligns with workplace performance – within each individual and as a team. By upgrading each individual’s self-image and then the overall team’s self-image to match corporate goals, staff are more likely to meet KPIs, to enjoy their work, and to make a positive contribution to the overall culture of the organisation.
Join us as we discuss the effect of self-image on performance.
