In 1995 at the peak of the Star Trek franchise, a new spin-off series premiered to launch the UPN network, Star Trek: Voyager.

Starfleet and Maquis working together to return to Earth, an unexplored area of the galaxy filled with new races and threats had fans excited by the potential of the series.

As always with Star Trek, Voyager split opinion with some claiming it's the finest of the franchise and others dismissing it as a diet version of The Next Generation at best.

Lee Hutchison is joined again by Star Trek fan, podcaster and writer, Carlos Miranda to look at the promise of Star Trek: Voyager and if it fulfilled its mission or fell short of the Alpha Quadrant.
