'WE CAN BE HEROES' INTERVIEWS

Welcome to the second in a series of interviews from the 2017 Edinburgh International Film Festival with the talent in front and behind the camera.

Lee is joined by author Catherine Bruton whose highly popular young adult book, 'We Can Be Heroes' was adapted for the big screen and stars the amazingly talented young stars Sam Cox and Toby Haste.

Ben never knew his father; he was killed in 9/11 when Ben was just a baby. Eleven years later, Ben goes to spend the summer with his grandparents, hanging out with Priti, the girl next door, and his wayward cousin, Jed. Priti is a livewire and a Muslim who gradually begins to suspect her older brother is a terrorist. The trio set out to investigate and learn more than they expected.

'We Can Be Heroes' is out later in the year. Follow @heroesfilm2017 and @catherinebrunton on twitter for updates.
