What former congressman Bill Roy wrote in his recent opinion piece in the Topeka Capital Journal, April 7, 2013,  “Kansas slipping away from its people.”

Kansas Public Radio, Wichita reporter Bryan Thompson found that Brownback, the state legislators must come up with an additional $200 million in “state support” which must be thrown into the proposed $714 million Obama budgeted for the germ warfare labs on 45 acres near Kansas State University. Accompanied with the nearly $160 million in abatements already provided by both Riley County and the state can we ask, “What kind of economic stimulus is this?” 

Sen. Anthony Hensley correctly chastised the legislature for early adjournment with a smart comment about key senior members traveling to Oklahoma for the upcoming May American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) national convention.

Would the Kansas ALEC cronies please stand up?

Will they disappear with a name change?  ALEC Exposed recently published through PR Watch that a big makeover is in the works, even hiring a consultant that did an image hairdo for Big Tobacco.
