The Scott Sisters

We will talk about the Scott Sisters being detained in a Mississippi Prison for the last 16 years for a crime that they did not commit. They were charged and convicted for a robbery that yielded $11 and no one was hurt. They are serving two life sentences each.Two men confessed to the crime and received lighter sentences. At the time of the crime neither Gladys or Jamie had a criminal record. They were 19 and 21. Jamie suffers from End Stage Renal Failure and without a kidney transplant she will die in a Mississippi Prison. The Prison in MS will not allow her sister to donate her a kidney. She receives dialysis and contiunes to fight infections constantly because of the unsanitary equipment/conditions at the prison.
