You CAN feel the tension mounting as there are now just three races remaining for the winless and “dark horse” NASCAR drivers to make into the Sprint Cup Series Chase, and THAT is leading the agenda here in the Frat House Sports Garage on Sunday’s Race Trim MotorSports Hour.

Last week, no major changes – Kevin Harvick won his second of the season at a Bristol Motor Speedway that wasn’t able to truly debut its improvements with the massive weather delays. But, by all accounts and opinions, what we did see of the improvements received high grades.

Many assumed that this week’s second visit to Michigan International Speedway would welcome back Dale Earnhardt Jr. from his long concussion-delayed absence. Not the case! The earliest we may see Junior might be the very last race of the season at Richmond. NOW, many are suggesting that Junior just take the remainder off, while others suspect we’ll be hearing a retirement announcement shortly. Bottom line is, it would seem this has now raised a rather inauspicious situation with many question marks.

Nonetheless, today’s race at Michigan will go on and the guys in the garage will be reviewing it, plus laying down some fantasy advice, and making their “Eat-My-Dust Picks” of-the-race.
