If last week was “The Smoke Show”, this is “The JGR Hour”. We’ve talked all season about the dominance of Joe Gibbs Racing and it continues today coming out of Richmond.

Carl Edwards did the unthinkable last week bumping his own teammate Kyle Busch in the last final half lap to win his second-in-a-row. Is that “just racing”, or is there an “unwritten rule” someplace? How much does this create a teammate rift, and are we seeing a new more aggressive Carl Edwards this season?

Tony Stewart returned last week exactly as Sidekick predicted – good enough for us to all complain that he sucks. BUT, his “lug nuts rant” got NASCAR attention as they addressed the rules. Is anyone really surprised by that?

But man oh man, to be a fly-on-the-wall at Friday night’s Driver’s Council meeting where Brian France showed up unexpectedly and apparently, left it lively.

Today we’re at Talladega – one of Frat House Mike’s favorites, a superspeedway – and we’ll be giving our thoughts on outcomes and “Big Ones” here; plus an NHRA update at #6 in Houston Texas; Sidekick’s got some Fantasy NASCAR recommendations; and, it’s getting VERY competitive on the Frat House Sports’ Eat-My-Dust Winners Pick leaderboard particularly after last week.
