It looked like Jimmie Johnson would get his second-in-a-row, or it could have been either of the Busch brothers, but in the end Las Vegas Motor Speedway was won by one of the “Pesky Boys” – and it wasn’t Joey Logano. Brad Keselowski won for the first time in nearly a year (last: March 22, 2015).
Keselowski topped-off a tremendous final 10-lap run with the ultimate mic-drop . . . except the mic was the American flag . . . right on to the track (gaaaaspppp! Horrors!)
We saw new racing issues in this young 2016 NASCAR season. Tire-wear wasn’t quite the problem it was at Atlanta. That was replaced by wind and even a sand storm! And, LVMS wasn’t as caution-free as Atlanta.
Many are claiming JGR’s Matt Kenseth is “snake-bite” as once again he was out in front a lot of the race only to end a DNF in the 37th spot. But, it’s way too early in the season, right? But look here, Austin Dillon, rookie Ryan Blaney, and Kasey Kahne had a very good race and all three are worth keeping an eye on going forward.
JGR is lining-up 1 – 2 – 3 to start today’s race at Phoenix International Raceway. Does this make them the hand-down favorite! Not necessarily.
The Frat House Sports Gang in the Garage are talking about all of these items AND taking your Race Day calls at 347 – 826 – 9964 so, just bring the pastries to the garage for THE BEST pre-race sports-talk on the Internet ONLY from Frat House Sports!
