Welcome back to the Frat House Sports Garage. Kick back for an hour and chat some NASCAR with the fellas this evening from 7 - 8pm (ET). It's a short week because the final "race before the Chase" will go green on Saturday evening at Richmond International Raceway and the 16 finalists for the Sprint Cup will be determined when the Checkers fly.
Last Sunday it was Carl Edwards that successfully courted "The Lady in Black", capturing his 2nd 2015 race win at Dalington in an event widely applauded as a tribute to the heritage of the sport. The lower downforce aerodynamics package utilized made the racing more competitive. There was still some "clean air" dominance but it was an improvement and the guys will get into it.Did you see the race? What were your impressions? How about the broadcast reunion of Ken Squier & Ned Jarrett?
This weekend signals the end of the "regular" season in stock car racing. The series returns to Richmond for the 2nd visit of the year, and returns to the original 2015 rules package which features higher-than-Darlington downforce, a taller rear spoiler, harder tire construction and "clean air" dominance for the leader out front. Calling all cars! Calling all cars! Will Chevy dominance pick up where it left off in the first half of the year? Can the recent JGR-TRD success equate to a Championship 10 weeks from now?
The boys are hanging around the Garage for an extra hour this evening, be sure to stop by and get your "setup" for the weekend. Give a call with your opinion, too: 347-826-9964.
