On this episode of America’s #1 music festival podcast & radio show, host Mike VD recaps his most recent experiences at Outside Lands Music FestivalWhich took place from August 11-13 at Golden Gate Park in San Fransisco, CA.

Tune in as Mike runs through everything there is to know, do, and more at Outside Lands!

Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, Outside Lands was originally founded by Superfly Productions (most known for their founding of Bonnaroo), and has held a strong foundation in the San Fransisco community for the past decade.

This year’s lineup included some real heavy hitters like; Metallica, Gorillaz, Alt-J, Cage the Elephant, Above & Beyond, Future Islands, The Avett Bros, and many more!  (A Tribe Called Quest was originally slated to play but had to pull out of their scheduled and rescheduled performances due to unforeseen personal reasons.)

During this review we will explore the many different areas in which we feel make up a good festival and highlight the ones where Outside Lands really excelled.  Those areas include:

  • General Atmosphere & Crowd
  • Musical Artists
  • Staff & Grounds Crew
  • Weather
  • More!

Throughout the episode, we feature the music of three artists who performed at Outside Lands this year, and who we feel you need to make time in your festival schedule for.  This episode serves as promotion for Outside Lands and these artists, if you enjoy the music please support them by buying their songs, seeing their shows, and spreading the word. This week’s episode features:

  • Temples
  • Muna
  • Go By Ocean
