The Reese Project performs jazz & world music, with a few classical & celtic standards thrown in! Their works range from folky in flavor to classical to modern. Their latest CD, "Comin' Home Baby" features works of Herbie Mann and is very funky! Tom has over 150 compositions completed & published. In 1999, Tom & The Reese Project released a CD called "Blue Etude" of all originals. It later received a pre-nomination for a Grammy Award for best new jazz composition. The Reese Project has 12 jazz CD's, released under various labels. Tom recently did arrangements for the New York based Big Apple Jazz Orchestra and has had works commissioned by the Lancaster Summer Arts Festival and the Sunday Sinfonia. The Reese Project is led by Tom Reese on flutes & his wife Laurie Haines Reese on cello, and includes his brother, Kirk Reese on piano & Glenn Ferracone on drums. Recently, Tom & Laurie collaborated on a composition that reached number 3 on the ReverbNation Ambient music charts in Los Angeles. They have been invited to collaborate on a project for film music.
