Judi Silvano is a singer, composer and artist. She relocated from Philadelphia to work in the New York City area as a modern dancer and jazz singer. As a progressive composer and arranger, Silvano has written over 45 pieces for jazz and chamber music ensembles incorporating improvisation with written material. She also champions the work of American Women Composers in her “Women’s Work” recording. Her chamber music songs have been recognized by the industry by being chosen for New York Women Composers, Vox Musica and Ars Nova concerts. To date Judi has released 10 recordings in the jazz and healing meditation genres. Judi has been named Top 10 Vocalist four times in Downbeat Magazine, Best Jazz Singer in the Hudson Valley and has contributed articles to All About Jazz & Jazz Improv Magazine.
