King Belshazzar (son of King Nebuchadnezzar) had the gold and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the temple in Jerusalem brought to a feast and drank from them with his lords, his wives, and concubines.
King Belshazzar learns that God is not pleased with the misuses his property, because of this misuse; the handwriting was put on the wall.
