Staying present is letting go of the past and the future. It's letting go of our expectations, our excuses, our worries, and moving forward. Sometimes letting go is scary, we don't know what we will do now that we have let go of past behaviors, or habits. It's a process, remember that the other steps are there to support you as well. Have compassion and stay connected for support and keep holding yourself accountable. This is all going to come together, you are moving forward one baby step at a time.
