I am a fairly recent transplant to the UK (Manchester) from the USA (Richmond, VA). Like my mum, hoarding is part of my genetic make-up. When I was young, I started collecting antique/vintage "bits" that included "anything that struck my fancy": clothing, fashion accessories, textiles and my fav, jewellery! Since moving to the UK, I have finally been able to focus on creating wearable revamped jewellery using my HUGE stash of salvaged antique/vintage jewellery/fashion bits that could never be thrown away! This genetic "hoarding" trait, though not very conducive for minimalism, has been extremely useful for me. My wardrobe preference has always been an eclectic & creative "Re-drobe" (reclaimed, revamped, repurposed, reused...etc.) over the mass - produced & "look like everyone else" wardrobe. In the US, I sold my vintage collections and handmade items at shows, festivals and malls. I also have been an Ebay (US & UK) seller since 2003 and etsy (fauxbrit13.etsy.com).
