No one has any doubts about the impact of the economy on the housing market. We all have seen foreclosure signs in our neighborhoods and some of us have experienced the terrible loss of walking away from our homes. Let’s face it our homes are our largest investments and it is an absolute crushing defeat to let our family home go. But many families have had no other choice. People have lost jobs, small business owners have gone under, and the house payments that used to be affordable have now become tremendous burdens. I have invited an experienced Real Estate agent who works in North County as my guest today. Kelly McLaughlin from Richard Realty Group and I will discuss the real estate trends in our area, the meaning of “Short Sale” and what it entails and her prediction about the future of the housing market in North San Diego. My second guest is Gary Nessim from Homelife Village Realtors in the Village of Carlsbad. While Gary is a broker and will give us his input about the housing market the majority of our time will be spent on the Village. Have you seen all the empty shops there? What needs to be done to save the Village? I know Gary has been working on a vision for the future of the Village for quite a while and I’ll ask him about his plans and how he thinks we can save the Village of Carlsbad and make it a thriving family-friendly shopping and entertainment destination. Tune in today at 3 pm to listen to my fabulous guests.
