Join the host of the I-295 Sports Report, Alan Zlotorzynski as he brings you all the news and notes leading up to the Baltimore Ravens second preseason game vs. the Detroit Lions.

Tonight, the Ravens return to M&T Bank Stadium for the first time since defeating the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional playoffs last January. The Ravens first team offense and defense looked as if it stayed back in Baltimore last Thursday night, as the second and third teams defeated the Falcons 31-17 in Atlanta.

Head coach John Harbaugh says he expects the first stringers to play well into the second quarter tonight against the Lions

Alan will tell you what the Ravens defense must do against one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL. The Ravens secondary failed to contain Matt Ryan, Roddy White and Julio Jones last week. Tonight, Ed Reed and company will be faced with trying to slow one of three QB’s to pass for over 5,000 yards last season, as well as slow down the human robot, Calvin “Megatron” Johnson. Alan tells you how they get it done.

In addition, Alan will break down and tell you why tonight’s game, not the third preseason contest next week, is the most important for the Ravens offense. The Lions secondary struggled mightily during the final six games of the season in 2011. Tonight, the Ravens must begin to execute the offense with success and that means Ray Rice must be involved. Alan will tell you how Joe Flacco starts the process of becoming the elite QB he claims to be.

Plus, Alan will breakdown the Lions and tell you why Detroit head coach Jim Schwartz, who was born just outside Baltimore and attended Mount Saint Joseph High School, may not be the man to get the Lions over the top.

Alan will also discuss how Ravens owner Steven Bisciotti is one of the best in all of sports. Catch the Baltimore Ravens pre-game show starting at 6:00 tonight.
