Tonight's show is a very special episode. Join Alan, as he welcomes Joe Unitas, the son of legendary Baltimore Colts QB Johnny UnitasJoe will join Alan to discuss his father’s legendary career, as well as a movie project, titled “Unitas We Stand”, which is slated for a 2014 release.

Recently, New Orleans based Ghost Rider Pictures announced the development of a biopic film of former Baltimore Colts QB, which is based on the 2006 biography “Johnny U: The Life and Times of Johnny Unitas” by Tom Callahan.

Along with Nick Slatkin, whose credits include the 2010 drama “Placebo”, Unitas’ son Joe, wrote the screenplay. Joe Unitas is also listed as a producer for the film, along with Chris Braun, Oley Sassone and Steven Scaffidi (who recently produced the documentary “The Sojourners”.)

Joe Unitas will not only tell you what you can expect to see on the big screen, but he will also tell us how we can become involved in supporting its development.

Alan will also recap the 83rd All-Star Game played last night in Kansas City, and preview the second half of the season. Alan will also hand out the Orioles and Nationals first half report cards and tell which beltway team can expect to play deep into October.

Along with the top stories in sports, it is also time to give out the Dumb Ass of the Week award. Will Mr. October’s mouth be enough to secure the victory, or will Adrian Peterson be the straw that stirs the drink during this week. What about Lance Armstrong, and oh yes let us not forget about J.J. Almendinger.

We will also check up on the Washington Capitals, and Wizards free agency moves.

The I-295 Report starts at 8:00 p.m.
