This weeks guest on Family of a Vet Blog talk radio show believes that a helping hand can avert suicide.  Lily Casura is a longtime journalist and the founder of the award winning website HealingCombatTrauma.com, and is a graduate of the National Center for PTSD Clinical Training Program, and advanced level trainings in "Healing the Troops".   Lily will share an example of how starting to help veterans now can prevent an individual emergency, and keep them, their marriage and their families from becoming a statistic.

Lily believes that  PTSD and the current suicide rate among our veterans is a public health issue that we all can help to address.  Expand your knowledge on this vital topic during Suicide Awareness month, and join us on Tuesday, Sept. 24th, from 6:30-7:30pm (CDT).  Listeners are invited to call-in at 323--657-1470.  Click on the link to join the show, or listen at your convenience - the show will be recorded.
