    Mike Davies (The People's Psychic)

    in Paranormal

If you are going to call in for a reading please make sure to call in 10min before show to to secure your spot on the show. Our lines fill up very quickly.    Mike Davies was born in Caerphilly South Wales, where he has lived all his life. He works as a builder through the day and in the evenings and weekends he offers his services to the spiritworld.   Mike had a normal upbringing in life but as a child he knew that there was something different about himself. From as long as he can remember he would see flashes of light and different colours but at the time thought it was normal. He explained what he was experiencing to his two sisters but they both didn't understand or experience it themselves.   As a result Mike decided to go to a local orthodox Church to seek answers and was told it would go away in its own time, but it never did. Through out his teenage years Mike learned to live with it still not knowing of what it was he was experiencing.

Monday on "In The Neon Spotlight...": Ashley McBryde!!

    in Music

Raw talent combined with a whiskey washed sense of humor has been used to describe singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde!  Mentor and famed co-writer, Lisa Carver (Reba McEntire, Willie Nelson), described her as a “writer’s writer", put her on a stage and you will see and hear that she is the nicest bad girl you’ve ever met!!  Set to release in June, Ashley is currently finishing up her latest album in Nashville at Hot Haus Studio with producer Mike Holmes.  As the writer or co-writer of every song on the album, this work shows you the lyrical narrative Ashley is able to weave together that can make you wish longingly for an old flame or stomp your boot on the barroom floor.  The 11-song Americana Country album was performed by seasoned veterans such as drummer Ed Greene (The Temptations, B.B. King), bassist Bob Marinelli (Larry Gatlin), and guitarist Lauren Ellis (Rita Coolidge, Nell Carter).  Tracks like “Marlboro Man” and “Little Tragedy” guide you through heartache and loss, while “Holy Water” and “Break It Fast” show you her naughty, playful side.
Learn more about Ashley McBryde and listen to her music at www.ashleymcbryde.com!!!

The Percy Schmeiser Story: A Landmark Legal Victory

    in Legal

Percy Schmeiser is a canola farmer from Saskatchewan, Canada. He was the first farmer to win a law suit against Monsanto. This landmark case, which went before the Federal Court of Canada, has attracted international attention because it could help determine how much control a handful of powerful biotech companies can exert over farmers. Schmeiser believes this precedent setting agreement ensures that farmers will be entitled to reimbursement when their fields become contaminated with unwanted Roundup Ready canola or any other unwanted GMO plants.
In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer talks to Percy Schmeiser about his battle with this agro-chemical giant.
