Families With Faith is pleased to have Dr. Patricia Warford as their special guest host for this week’s episode. Dr. Patricia Warford is currently a licensed clinical psychologist in Newberg, Oregon. She is also the co-facilitator of the Association of Marriage and Family Ministries’ Healing from Abuse Ministry Team. Dr. Warford’s educational credentials include: Doctor of Psychology from the Graduate School of Clinical Psychology at George Fox College, Masters Degree from George Fox College and Bachelor’s of Science from South Dakota State University. A respected leader in her field, she is a highly sought after speaker, presenter and advisor for her expertise on domestic violence and sexual abuse issues. Dr. Patricia Warford is the former co-owner of Life Strategies, Inc., a Domestic Violence Intervention Program. She was also facilitator of the Men’s Resources Center’s male batterer intervention groups. Patricia, or Patty, as she prefers to be called, has served in a variety of interagency capacities, including as an appointee on the Governor’s Council on Domestic Violence; an American Red Cross volunteer to New York City as a Disaster Mental Health provider and a Yamhill County Domestic Violence Task Force member. Finally, Dr. Warford was an initial member of a Senior Services Multi-Disciplinary Team designed to address abuse of the elderly. Dr. Warford is a published author, whose writings include “Therapeutic Implications of Therapists’ Values For the Female Victim of Domestic Violence” and “Trauma Bonding” which is a chapter within the Oregon State Victims Assistance Academy Training Manual. In the capacity of faculty member, Dr. Warford has served at the Oregon State Victims Assistance Academy, as an Adjunct Professor and as the Campus Clinical Team Leader at George Fox University. Join Families with Faith and their very special guest host, Dr. Patricia Warford, in a lively, informative, intuitive and biblical examination of this week’s questions.
