So what could have been a fairly mundane or routine National Convention, though then again probably not with Trump, did indeed give us two very provactive stories that I want to build today's show off of.  The first story is Ted Cruz's speech and how that is being taken.  This too brings me to the downside of politics as we in the conservative or Republican base are screaming at each other more than ever before over this and other things.  Support Trump and Never Trump are too distinct factions, and I am firmly in one faction.  But what we're doing is very depressing in terms of the way we're treating each other.  The second thing is that Peter Thiel, an openly gay man who is a registered Republican, spoke at the Convention and referred to the culture wars as "phony" and a "distraction."  Well, as Dan Bongino tweeted out, they're certainly not phony because the left typically starts these wars every time.  They may or may not distract us from other things, but they're certainly very real and very dangerous, imo.  And I'll have stories that say and show as much, as I often do today.  That's American Faith Today, you can listen live at 4:30 Eastern time and on the archives after that.
