Welcome to A Journey Through Faith! I pray that you will find this blog very inspirational and motivational. The purpose of this blog is to share my own personal and real life experiences with God to others with the use of Biblically based solutions. It is my desire to share with you my own personal experiences involving a difficult marriage, domestic violence and domestic abuse (emotional, physical, spiritual, financial, mental and verbal), abandonment, parenthood, adult child and parent issues, rejection, and other ordinary life experiences that we all run into in one way or another here on earth. My goal is to minister to those in need from all walks of life. I want to help others become restored and made whole again by renewing their faith in God. The tools that I use to minister to others is through songs of praise in words of psalms, poems, columns, personal testimonies, devotions, prayers and scriptures. I am hoping that by sharing my life as an open book, in some way it will inspire everyone to reach for a higher, deeper and more intimate relationship with our Almighty God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I want all of you to walk by faith and not by sight! (2 Corinthians 5:7) I want every believer to wear the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) without fear and walk boldly in the knowledge of who they are in Christ! We are children of the most High God and because we are His children, He wants a relationship with us. Contrary to what other faiths and religions preach, He is not harsh, contradicting, or passive. Society (television, talk shows, celebrities, etc.) have painted a very poor picture of who Jehovah really is. They are not giving a true account of His character. About Minister Faith From my own personal struggles with life, I discovered the power of living victoriously through Christ by applying God’s Word to my life and desires to help others through my writing. I believe in writing ope

For several months in 2008 I had not been paying much attention to the way I’ve been taking care of my body. I wasn’t exercising on a regular basis and my diet consisted of Almond Joys, sugary juices, fried foods, cakes, pies, cookies, and ice cream. Although I wasn’t happy with my eating habits or lifestyle, I really did not make much of an effort to change because I was so overwhelmed with my duties as a wife, a mother, freelance writer and seminary student. I was placing those things in my life first and my personal needs last. Slowly but surely my body was becoming accustomed to my current lifestyle, but I knew deep down inside that it wasn’t good for me.
There were many days that I would find myself praying for God to change me miraculously, but change did not come for me over night. Then suddenly one day after my many prayers and failed efforts at developing a healthy lifestyle I suddenly had a revelation. It finally occurred to me that God wants His children to be in good health. It is His greatest desire to see us prosper in every good thing and health is one of them.
From that moment on I began waking up early in the morning to exercise in the basement. To top it off, my food choices began to improve as well. I can honestly say that for the first time since the birth of my second child I am feeling happy and healthy!
Bringing it all together: Make a conscious decision to take charge of your health by making it a top priority. Learn how to make healthy food choices and create an exercise program that is fun and easy to follow. Most of all, know that God wants His children to live a life full of prosperity and good health.
Prayer: Jehovah God, please teach your children the importance of being in good health. Please show us how much it pleases you to see us prosper in that area. Teach us how to manage our emotions with the aid of the Holy Spirit and how to feed our soul with Your Holy Word. Amen.
