Welcome to A Journey Through Faith! I pray that you will find this blog very inspirational and motivational. The purpose of this blog is to share my own personal and real life experiences with God to others with the use of Biblically based solutions. It is my desire to share with you my own personal experiences involving a difficult marriage, domestic violence and domestic abuse (emotional, physical, spiritual, financial, mental and verbal), abandonment, parenthood, adult child and parent issues, rejection, and other ordinary life experiences that we all run into in one way or another here on earth. My goal is to minister to those in need from all walks of life. I want to help others become restored and made whole again by renewing their faith in God. The tools that I use to minister to others is through songs of praise in words of psalms, poems, columns, personal testimonies, devotions, prayers and scriptures. I am hoping that by sharing my life as an open book, in some way it will inspire everyone to reach for a higher, deeper and more intimate relationship with our Almighty God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I want all of you to walk by faith and not by sight! (2 Corinthians 5:7) I want every believer to wear the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) without fear and walk boldly in the knowledge of who they are in Christ! We are children of the most High God and because we are His children, He wants a relationship with us. Contrary to what other faiths and religions preach, He is not harsh, contradicting, or passive. Society (television, talk shows, celebrities, etc.) have painted a very poor picture of who Jehovah really is. They are not giving a true account of His character. About Minister Faith From my own personal struggles with life, I discovered the power of living victoriously through Christ by applying God’s Word to my life and desires to help others through my writing. I believe in writing ope

A testimony was given back in 2006 of a young teenage girl who had an infection in her eyes. She was given medication and had several visits with the eye doctor. The prognosis did not look good for the young girl at all.
The parents prayed for a miracle and continued to believe in faith that God would deliver. One day when the young lady went to the doctor for an eye examination, it was discovered that her vision had IMPROVED. She now has 20/20 VISION!
God is GOOD! He is always on time!

Background
Some people are not sure how to seek God although they desire to have an intimate relationship with Him. They feel that He is far away when in fact He is very near. God cannot be found in alcohol, drugs, gambling, extramarital sexual affairs, shopping, or other activities that are against who God really is. All we have to do is humble ourselves, kneel on our knees and call out to God with sincerity. He is already there.
Scriptures
But from there, you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. — Deuteronomy 4:29 (NKJV)
…if My people who are called by My name will hymble themselves, adn pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. — 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV)
And he went out to meet Asa, and said to him: “Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you. — 2 Chronicles 15:2 (NKJV)
One thing I have desired of teh Lord, that will I seek; That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple. — Psalm 27:4 (NKJV)
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. — Lamentations 3:25 (NKJV)
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. — Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)
I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and my judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me. — John 5:30 (NKJV)
And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. — Luke 12:29, 31 (NKJV)
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. — Matthew 7:7, 8 (NKJV)
If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. — Colossians 3:1 (NKJV)
but without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. — Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)

Before the founder of our church was called home to the Lord, he was a minister of another church in a different location.
One night he was walking towards his car after church service when he noticed some trouble with his car. He then saw several men walking towards him and he assumed they were in the process of offering him some assistance. Unfortunately, they began to stab him with their knives as he tried desparately to protect himself by using an instrument to ward them off.
Just then my late pastor looked towards his car and saw an ANGEL opening his car door motioning for him to get in. Although his attackers were trying desparately to kill him, he managed to get in the car and close the door.
Needless to say he made it home and his wife took him to the doctor. Miraculously, the stab wounds did not puncture his organs and he survived. The Lord gave him a promise and he accepted gladly by building the church that we now call Detroit World Outreach.
God will move heaven and earth to send his Angels to help you when there isn’t any one else around!
Praise God!

During the summer of 2008 when the gas prices were reaching close to five dollars a gallon in my area, the members of my church began complaining along with many other people (including myself). It was becoming very difficult to complete simple errands, buy food and pay for necessities.
A number of members began to contact the our pastor about the problem and he, along with other members of the church, began to pray fervently as a corporate body of Christ over the problem. Needless to say, the gas prices began to decrease and the burdens that were placed on Christians everywhere were lifted.
Honor and praise has to be given to God for doing this great deed for us. Obviously the gas prices could have climbed upward without a break, but who heard our cry? Jehovah God Almighty! He heard the cry of His children and intervened. The land is being judged by God, but the righteous is covered under His mighty wing! God hears His children and He answers their prayers according to His will!

In November 2008 I was taking a class in Christian history and my professor asked during the beginning of class if anyone had a prayer request. One of my classmates asked for prayer for an ear infection he was battling. He mentioned that it was really bothering him and the infection wasn’t going away. So the class began to pray corporately for our classmate’s needs and a few others that were mentioned. After arriving home I placed my classmate on my prayer list and made it a point to pray for him daily.
Because we only met one weekend per month, our next meeting wasn’t until the second weekend in December. During a class break I approached my classmate and asked him how was his ear. He said his ear was healed that same night!
Corporate prayer works! God teaches us how to pray for ourselves and others individually and corporately. He answers prayers and it is His great desire to see His children walk in the authority that He has given us!

When my mother was in graduate school she had a classmate who received a miraculous blessing from the accounting department.
The woman was attending the class she had registered for when she received a summary of her account from the school. The woman was paying for her own education, so when she reviewed the statement she realized that the school did not charge her for the course. She immediately went to the accounting office to show them the error. She was in the process of writing out a check when the accountant stopped her and stated that there wasn’t any need to pay for the bill. She looked at them quizzically and the accountant repeated again that she did not have to pay for the bill. They were going to allow her to finish the semester for free!
God is good! What more can I say?

There are people living in bondage from the spirit of anger. They may have an attitude towards people who are not behaving the way they want them to. There are many reasons why people may live with the spirit of anger, but I can assure everyone that this is not the life God wants us to live. Deliverance from anger is possible.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret – it only causes harm. – Psalms 37:8 (NKJV)
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. – Psalm 103:8 (NKJV)
He who is slow to wrath has great understanding, but he who is impulsive exalts folly. – Proverbs 14:29 (NKJV)
A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. – Proverbs 15:1 (NKJV)
A wrathful man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger allays contention. – Proverbs 15:18 (NKJV)
The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, and his glory is to overlook a transgression. – Proverbs 19:11 (NKJV)
Do not hasten in your spirit to be angry, for anger rests in the bosom of fools. – Ecclesiastes 7:9 (NKJV)
“Be angry, and do not sin“: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. – Ephesians 4:26,27 (NKJV)
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. – Ephesians 4:31,32 (NKJV)
But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. – Colossians 3:8 (NKJV)
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. – James 1:19,20 (NKJV)
1. I am the righteousness of God.
2. I walk in the peace.
3. I have been created in the image of God.
4. I have been delivered from the spirit of anger. I am no longer bothered by what the world says.
5. Because I am created in the image of God I walk in peace.
6. The Spirit of God dwells within me.
7. My emotions do not have any control over me.
8. I have control over my emotions.
9. I am free from bondage.
