We are exprimenting with a new format.  Chuck will host hour #1 and I will host hour #2.  As our regular listeners know,  Chuck's daughter sufferent a stair fall this summer that shattered heg leg and Chuck has been helping her with physical therapy.  He has to leave to take his daughter to school during hour 2 so we are splitting the show into right and left.

In hour 1, Tom Zoellner and his book, A Safeway in Arizona, about the social context surrounding the shooting of his friend Gabby Giffords.

In hour 2, Dave Johnson, our regular contributor on econoics joins us in Hour 2.
