Augusta Lee Collins is currently performing at Pizza Pazza 3905 Piedmont Avenue Oakland, CA.  Augusta is best known as a very talented drummer that was most prolific throughout the late 1960’s and into the middle 1980’s.  His credits included: Lightnin’ Hopkins, Hampton Hawes, Mary Wells, Sun Ra, Jerry Garcia, Woody Shaw, U.C. Berkeley Jazz Festival (3) times, the Monterey Jazz Festival, and the Oakland Symphony Orchestra (Harold Fiberman conductor, and musical director).  Augusta has toured both the United States of America and Europe.
