Jealousy, Envy, and Hating: Taming That Green Eyed Monster

It takes up residence in the pit of your stomach and gnaws away at your heart. It lurks behind the false smile you plaster on your face in front of friends and relatives. It breathes fire into your potential happiness and dissipates it into steam. As Iago warned Othello, “O, beware... of jealousy; it is the green-eyed monster” In four hundred years, we don't seem to have been able to tame or conquer this monster. Jealousy, Envy, and “Hating” is still very present with us, and rears its ugly head often in all relationships. It disturbs me that so many people seem to think it’s OK to be jealous, so I thought it might be valuable to explore it and find ways to reduce or eliminate it.
